Ford has announced today their upcoming electric pickup truck will be called the F150 Lightning. The F150 Lightning is set to debut next week on May 19th at 9:30PM ET on Ford's social channels. You can sign up here to add to your calendar. Production for this electric pickup will take place at their Michigan plant next year.

Ford's CEO, Jim Farley, noted in a press release that the F-150 Lightning will be able to power your home during an outage, acellerate quicker than the V8 F150 and should provide more than 300 miles of range.
